Oculus grants each employee a 14,000 Kuna Christmas bonus, a 13th paycheque and payment into the voluntary pension insurance plan

Thanks to strong business results and positive changes to tax policies, many local companies now have the opportunity to pay out bonuses or other rewards for their employees in return for their efforts and dedication. However, only a few companies have opted to give their employees almost every possible benefit this December: a Christmas bonus, a 13th paycheque and payment into a private pension insurance plan. One of just a few to do so, if not the only company in Varaždin County and possibly beyond, is Oculus from Hrašćica, which has distributed a Christmas bonus of 14,000 Kuna to each of its 213 employees, as well as a 13th paycheck and private pension payment.

“We have done this because Oculus is a socially responsible employer that wants to do something not only for our employees, but also for their families. As an employer, we encourage families and cooperate with them. As a responsible company, we support various sporting, cultural and charity organizations through donations or events. Over the course of this year, we have donated a million kuna,” said Stanko Kočevar, CEO and owner of Oculus.

It is no easy task to list all the donations and contributions made by Oculus. Among the most important are the promotion of Špancirfest and a donation of 20,000 Kuna to Varaždin Hospital.

“We decided to make this donation to Varaždin General Hospital given its highly complex operations, and the fact that it serves about 170,000 inhabitants of Varažin County and a large population in the neighbouring counties. We are pleased that the donated funds will be used to improve the work of the hospital, its doctors and other medical professionals” said Kočevar.
